EARLY CAREER COACHING

Since I left my corporate career behind, I’ve been coaching and mentoring young people and supporting them to find their own path into the world of work. I started as an alumna at King's College where I offered several sessions with graduating students, helping them through the interview process with big 4 consulting firms and connecting them with networks of people in their target career. Since then, I’ve helped young people to interview for internships, rewrite CVs to showcase their real talents and find the profession that really inspires them. I demystify office politics and always encourage young people to express themselves. I recently coached a family member to double his salary and move into his dream job.

I’ve always enjoyed working with young people, from my years as a teacher at SOAS to acting on the board of Kingston University and last year, convening a workshop for young people in India and the UK to develop their vision for the world of the future.

If you’d like to find out more, please book a free 30-minute chat and we can explore how we can work together. I work on a ‘pay what you can’ basis with young people.

HERE'S WHAT SOME PEOPLE SAY

Gill's advice helped me to develop more confidence, control and a stronger sense of integrity in the workplace. I left our sessions feeling empowered and understood. Gill stood by me as a mentor and friend, and helped me to develop long term tools with which I am excited to build my future career.

I had been looking to transition out of the public sector and into the private sector for a while. I just wasn’t quite sure of how to go about doing it and more importantly, I lacked self-confidence. Gill very kindly spoke to me about her experiences as she had a similar start to her career and agreed to act as a mentor in support of my goals.

Over a 12-week period I was able to really build a good understanding of my strengths and weaknesses, develop a clear development framework and also go through mock interviews where there was a real challenge presented to make sure I was thinking about the right examples when responding to questions.

The mentorship, challenge and support that Gill provided has proved invaluable as not only did it succeed in helping me acquire a new role as a senior consultant in the private sector, but it has given me the confidence to take the next steps and think about each move in the context of how it will further my career. Gill as a person is insightful, passionate and most importantly supportive with a real understanding of how to cut to the core of matters quickly. I could not thank her enough for her support and would recommend anyone who is looking to develop not only their careers but also themselves. Speak with Gill, you will not regret it.

Gill helped me figure out the right career path at a time when I was at a crossroads. I went into the session feeling a little overwhelmed about my career options. Gill was fantastic in helping me to develop more clarity around my passions and ideal jobs. She also gave me the confidence to apply for roles that I had dreamed of applying for but had been afraid to do so. I am now in a job that I love with exciting career prospects. I would strongly recommend having a session with Gill to anyone who is unsure of what they want to do.

Gill's mentorship helped shine light on where I doubted myself, which path to take and my balance between work, family, myself. The sessions over a several month period were exactly what I needed then. Thank you so very much.
